Go to Tools > Profiles > Whatever Profile You Want > Personalise > Warning Tones "Off".

Holding down the # button will also put your phone in the Silent Mode profile which already has warning tones disabled.

Simple as that. All warning tones will be disabled including the Nokia sound that happens at startup every time you restart your phone.

If that didn't work then your phone's regional firmware probably doesn't allow silencing or disabling the camera sound

How do i get themes for my nokia n95?

When i send it, I open it from my message box and then it comes up copy, and open. What do i do then ?

A. Themes for the N95 as well as any other Symbian Smartphone will come in SIS or SISX file (Symbian Installer). You would need to run that installer and install the theme first before you can use it.

Unlike Nokia Cellphones (Series 40), that come in .NTH files, NTH (Nokia Theme) files wont work on S60 Smartphones or Symbian Smartphones.

Basically, all you need to do is to put the SIS or SISX file in your memory card and open it using File Mgr. on your phone. It will ask you where to install it (memory card or phone memory).

If you Bluetooth the file to your phone, then it SHOULD go in your Messaging Inbox. From there, open the Bluetooth Message and it should install.

Once everything is installed, you can go to Settings -> Personalization -> Themes and select it from there. The path will be different if you have a different firmware. I suggest installing the latest firmware for your phone to enjoy the benefits of your N95.

How can i transfer videos from my NOKIA N97 MINI to my computer?

Q. Well, i recently bought the phone and I took some really cool videos but when I try and transfer them to my computer, it says they cant be found. But they're still on my phone, what do i do?

A. Ensure that your computer has the latest version of Nokia PC Suite or Nokia OVI Suite (Ovi Suite is newer, but requires more space and RAM) installed. You can download the latest version of either of the software from your local Nokia website.

When i send it, I open it from my message box and then it comes up copy, and open. What do i do then ?

A. Themes for the N95 as well as any other Symbian Smartphone will come in SIS or SISX file (Symbian Installer). You would need to run that installer and install the theme first before you can use it.

Unlike Nokia Cellphones (Series 40), that come in .NTH files, NTH (Nokia Theme) files wont work on S60 Smartphones or Symbian Smartphones.

Basically, all you need to do is to put the SIS or SISX file in your memory card and open it using File Mgr. on your phone. It will ask you where to install it (memory card or phone memory).

If you Bluetooth the file to your phone, then it SHOULD go in your Messaging Inbox. From there, open the Bluetooth Message and it should install.

Once everything is installed, you can go to Settings -> Personalization -> Themes and select it from there. The path will be different if you have a different firmware. I suggest installing the latest firmware for your phone to enjoy the benefits of your N95.

Go to Tools > Profiles > Whatever Profile You Want > Personalise > Warning Tones "Off".

Holding down the # button will also put your phone in the Silent Mode profile which already has warning tones disabled.

Simple as that. All warning tones will be disabled including the Nokia sound that happens at startup every time you restart your phone.

If that didn't work then your phone's regional firmware probably doesn't allow silencing or disabling the camera sound

Is it possible to put a sim card from a straight talk nokia e71 into an iPhone?

A. Depends first of all on which iPhone you're talking about. Anything before iPhone 4, the SIM will fit physically. If it's an iPhone 4, then you'll need to carefully trim your SIM, refer to the many guides online.

Straight Talk's E71 uses AT&T and TMobile's GSM network, so if you have an unlocked iPhone the setup should work for calls, text, and Data. For the newer iPhones (4 and 3GS), I've seen cases where a SIM card with data plan fails to register with AT&T because they had special device settings for those iPhones. Phone and Text will work in that case still.

It is true that the touchscreen phones will command the sales on the years to come, but Symbian 60 phones will need more that just years before they retire. Have you seen the E5? It is a new phone of Nokia, but spec wise, it's features are just like the E71's.

How can I transfer my contacts from a SE K800i to a Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic phone?

Q. I tried through Bluetooth it is not compatible. Unless I send 1 by 1. I hv uploaded my contacts to the Outlook express 2007. The PC suite does not get sync from that. Pls help me on this.

A. You can try copy contacts to SIM card on SE, insert card to Nokia and copy contact to phonebook from SIM. But in this case long names will cut, and may lost additional info like date of birthday and etc.

Q. I have access to wireless network, the only thing to connect through computer is to adjust proxy servers address in LAN setting. When I use internet explorer for first time I will enter user and pass. How can I use my Nokia n96 to use with this network?

A. If you use a proxy server, enter its address, otherwise (and it's most likely otherwise) don't enter any proxy server address. (Home internet connections don't use internet proxy servers, and most domain networks don't any more.) The username and password won't be needed either, since you won't be using any proxy server. Q. The N96 isn't that old but recently its being really slow and freezing all the time. The battery doesnt last more than about 20 hours. I've restored the factory settings but still nothing :/ Its very frustrating please help?

A. My last N96 done that aswell. Also my screen kept blacking out. I took mine to a repairer and they said it needed a new circuit board or something like that. If it's still on a contract with insurance you should be able to get a replacement. That's what I did. If not maybe try to to update the phones software.
