A. You need internet. Period. The higher the speed (transfer rate) the better but you do not need to sweat about it being too low.
The phone acts as a modem, it is the N810 that does the handling of the data and the rendering in the browser.
So, any Nokia phone will do, a 3G one would be preferable in order to ensure better speed.

A. I had a quick look on e bay at completed listings and they seem to sell for $100 to $220 , you never know your luck.

A. it's important to remember that the N810 isn't a phone - it connects to the Internet using either WiFi or a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone
