How to activate and use the integrated gps in Nokia 5800 xpressmusic ?

Q. I have a nokia 5800 xpressmusic (red).I have troubles using gps.
How to activate it ?
Do i need additional programs ?
I am having troubles with gps signals. When I check satellite status it will show that the phone is getting very strong signals, but when i go back to the map it will be always searching for satellites or gps signals.
Please help me if you get the solution and if you can please give the link for uae maps

A. Go to applications>>l ocation>> positioning>> positioning methods
and check only integrated GPS
to get a satellite signal for the first time wait for 5-10 minutes (sometimes 20 min)
after that is faster
you can use garmin mobile XT too

How can I transfer my contacts from a SE K800i to a Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic phone?
Q. I tried through Bluetooth it is not compatible. Unless I send 1 by 1. I hv uploaded my contacts to the Outlook express 2007. The PC suite does not get sync from that. Pls help me on this.

A. You can try copy contacts to SIM card on SE, insert card to Nokia and copy contact to phonebook from SIM. But in this case long names will cut, and may lost additional info like date of birthday and etc.

How do you share your 3G internet connection via WiFi from a Nokia 5800?
Q. I have a Nokia 5800 with 3G internet connection and a 4th Gen iPod Touch. I would like to share my internet connection via WiFi but cant find any free programs that will do that. I found Joiku Light for symbian but its limited to http browsing and wont do emails like imap or smtp protocols. Do you have any suggestions?

A. Joiku is probably the only one available for Symbian OS (Nokia Series 60 3rd and 5th editions) that is properly coded and released.

Though I am not supporting the use of illegal, counterfeit apps and games, you may download a cracked copy of JoikuSpot from torrents or forums. Instructions for installation should be on the source.

How do you restart Nokia N97 mini to factory settings it's not responding at all?

Q. Okay, so, I just woke up today and my phone wasn't responding, I could unlock it, and when I do, it just starts doing random commands like, opens phonebook, calls someone and eventually hangs up by itself. I've been wondering how to reset it to factory settings without being able to touch on the screen or use the physical keyboard? Thanks.

First press and hold those 3 buttons on the keyboard, and then while holding them, press and hold the power button till you see the Nokia logo.

A. 1. Transfer using bluetooth if your laptop has bluetooth connection
2. Transfer using USB cable
3. Install Dropian on N97 (from ovi store) and Dropbox on laptop - then sync the file.

Q. How do i replace a favourite contact with another one on the nokia n97?

A. Highlight favourite contact to be replaced - options - remove from favourites.
Highlight contact you want to be favourite - options - add to favourites.

How do i disable the camera sound on Nokia N96?

Q. I have a Nokia N96. I take pictures of people doing stupid stuff without them knowing. When i bought the N96 it doesn't allow me to switch of the shutter sound. How can you do it with out hacking the phone or anything?

HELP ME!!

A. Ok. Follow these steps.

Go to Tools > Profiles > Whatever Profile You Want > Personalise > Warning Tones "Off".

Holding down the # button will also put your phone in the Silent Mode profile which already has warning tones disabled.

Simple as that. All warning tones will be disabled including the Nokia sound that happens at startup every time you restart your phone.

If that didn't work then your phone's regional firmware probably doesn't allow silencing or disabling the camera sound

A. yes you can use the bluetooth paired with your phone, as far as i know, nokia phones only (but i maybe wrong) and also n810 has a built in wifi that can receive signals for internet browsing.

A. You need internet. Period. The higher the speed (transfer rate) the better but you do not need to sweat about it being too low.

The phone acts as a modem, it is the N810 that does the handling of the data and the rendering in the browser.

So, any Nokia phone will do, a 3G one would be preferable in order to ensure better speed.

Where can I buy extra styluses for my Nokia N810 Internet Tablet?
Q. I need to get extra styluses for my N810, seeing as how I've already lost one. Luckily, the tablet came with a spare, but I need two or three more, just in case. Any stylus, as long as it has the same design, works. Thanks.

A. Styluses are ridiculously hard to find in the both US and UK (I have the N770 and have scoured the internet for them also). Many people purchase Palm or Nintendo DS styluses as replacements.

A. There are no monthly fees with the N810. It uses wifi (wireless internet) to browse the internet.

You can either use it at home (if you have wifi) or at places that offer free wifi.
